Who are Earthing Solutions?

Our managing director Trevor Charlton formed Strategy & Solutions Ltd in the early nineties and was instrumental in the revival of UK earthing knowledge by commissioning numerous R&D projects, popularising the use of simulation software, developing advanced measurements and driving the direction of international standards and UK electricity company policy. In 1998 Earthing Measurements Ltd was set up as a ‘sister’ company to concentrate on site earthing survey and measurement work.

Both companies successfully grew over a period of over 10 years where they were privileged to provide consultancy services to all of the main players in the UK electricity industry. In 2009 the operations of the two companies were consolidated into Earthing Measurements Ltd under the new trading name of Earthing Solutions. This signalled a new chapter in the company history with continued development, growth and relocation to custom designed premises in Pontyclun, South Wales.  Here we have an excellent office and computing infrastructure, together with workshops where our equipment is built, tested and maintained. 

As industry leaders we are also central in developing national and international standards, electricity company policy and provide a range of training courses. By constantly challenging ourselves via cutting edge research and development projects we are able to innovate in this subject area and there are numerous examples of our solutions embedded within UK earthing best practice.

Our strength lies in the depth of knowledge provided by our well trained, experienced and professional engineers. Our clients are always safe in the knowledge that there will be a specialist within our organisation to deal with any earthing related problem from surveys and designs up to international standard or policy level issues.
